Routeburn Track

Set amongst some of the world's most spectacular natural scenery, the Routeburn Track is one of New Zealand's great walks.

The Routeburn Track is in the southern part of New Zealand's South Island and crosses two national parks - Fiordland National Park and Mt Aspiring National Park.

Surround yourself with snow capped mountains and lush green forests for 3 days straight.

Check out the colour of the Routeburn River as you walk along the track from Routeburn Shelter.

Accommodation is only permitted at the DOC (Department Of Conservation) alpine huts or tent sites. This helps keep the natural environment intact.

Plenty of rain in this area ensures lots of healthy waterfalls, crystal clear lakes and streams.
