Townsville (QLD, Australia)

Townsville is located about 1300 kilometres from Brisbane on Australias east coast. The population of Townsville is about 143,000, with around 60,000 more living in the surrounding districts.

I didn't stay overnight in Townsville but I did stop for a coffee and a look at "The Strand". The Strand is a stretch of tropical beach and parkland area - similar to what would usually be called "The Esplanade" anywhere else.

So, here are some photos I took during my 45 minute stay in Townsville.
