Rockhampton (QLD, Australia)

Rockhampton is located 633 kilometres north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It has a population of around 60,000, or 100,000 if you include the surrounding districts.

I didn't stop long in Rockhampton. I checked out the information centre so I could find a good place to stay. They recommended Yeppoon (about 40 kilometres east of Rockhampton), so I headed to "The Coffee House", grabbed a takeaway coffee, and drived to Yeppoon.

Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of Yeppoon, as I spent most of my time trying to find accommodation. It was a nice beach side village though. After trying about half a dozen hotels/motels, and about as many camping grounds, I ended up heading south from Yeppoon.

After driving south for a while, I ended up in a little beach side village called Emu Park.
