Emu Park (QLD, Australia)

Emu Park is located about 44 kilometres from Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia. I found this place by accident as I had been unsuccessful in getting accommodation in Yeppoon. Emu Park is 19 kilometres south of Yeppoon.

Apparently you can take the ferry across to Great Keppel Island from Emu Park. I've heard some nice things about Great Keppel Island - I must visit it sometime.

Anyway, as I drove into Emu Park, I saw a camping ground on my left. Fortunately there were still some tent sites available so I grabbed one. As soon as I'd pitched my tent, I had a quick shower then headed to the village centre for dinner and a drink.

First thing the following morning, I went for my morning run along the beach. Here are a couple of photos I took while on my run.
