After living in Sydney for many years, I decided to pack up, leave the ratrace, and move to the tropical far north of Australia!

I did this because I wanted to lead a simpler life, closer to nature. I felt like I was having an allergic reaction after being surrounded by cars and concrete for so long!

Here are some photos I took on my journey between Sydney and Cairns. You'll probably notice there are a lot of beach photos. This is partly due to the fact that there are a lot of beaches along the eastern part of Australia between Sydney and Cairns. It's also because I love beaches!

So, to start things off, here's what I left behind...

Yes, that's the traffic as I was making my way through Sydney (from the eastern suburb of Randwick). Think of all that pollution! But, I have to say, the city can look quite impressive in the morning sun. Don't you think...?
