There are many great alternatives to traditional plastic shopping bags. One of the most popular is Calico Bags and this is for a couple of reasons. They are affordable for a start. Not everyone wants to pay $5.00-$10.00 for an eco friendly hemp or pure organic cotton bag, yet traditional Calico Bags are easy on the budget and yet still offer many of the same properties. On the environmental side they certainly break down in land fill over time.
